Ph.D. candidate in Political Economy, Development, and the Environment at the University of Brasília, Brazil. He has experience in research projects with an emphasis on forest/environmental economics, and sustainable development, whose results have been published in academic journals and technical reports. Currently, he is also a member of the IUFRO, EAEPE, International Public Policy Association, and the CNPq's Structuralist Development Macroeconomics Research Group.
